The jumbo barrel is thick enough that my six-year-old can actually grip it properly, unlike the thin pencils she kept dropping before. The metallic colors really do shimmer on dark paper, which made her Halloween drawings look way cooler than I expected.
My five-year-old grabbed these immediately and the jumbo size fits his little hands perfectly. The two-sided design means he gets a metallic and a fluorescent shade in one pencil, so he doesn't have to stop mid-drawing to switch. Really glad I picked these over the thinner ones.
