My kids actually ask to play this, which says a lot. Hearing the French pronunciation called out while they match it to the picture has done more for their vocabulary than the flashcards we tried before.

The combination of seeing the picture, reading the French word, and hearing it said aloud really locks it in for my daughter—she'll shout "un hibou!" at the dinner table now. We've played it three nights in a row and she's already asking for another round.

My kids pick up the vocabulary so much faster when they can see the picture, read the word, and hear it said aloud during play. The cards are sturdy enough for weekly use, and the game gets them speaking French without even realizing they're learning.
