Sixteen colors out of just eight pencils is honestly genius for a small set, and the double-sided tips saved me from constantly swapping. I spent two evenings shading the jellyfish and coral and the paper held up well to layering.
The fold-out mural is packed with so many tiny fish and coral details that I kept finding something new each time I sat down to color. The double-sided pencils let me switch shades without digging through a case, and the colors stayed vibrant even on the heavier paper sections.
The double-sided pencils are a clever touch—I used the coral and teal sides back-to-back while coloring the jellyfish section and barely had to swap pencils. The mural's paper took the layering well without buckling, which surprised me for a fold-out. Only wish the set came with a few more neutrals
